The Jaunmokas Palace in collaboration with the director of Bach Music Fund, Aina Kalnciema, invites to the 10th Garden Festival in the Jaunmokas Palace and park on 9 July starting from 12 noon. The tenth Garden Festival – it is a time to reflect and see what has been accomplished and to think about future, therefore, the slogan of this year's celebration is “TIME without synonyms”.

About the beginning and first decade of the Garden Festival the Director of Jaunmokas Palace says, “The tradition of Garden Festival in Jaunmokas Palace began in year 2008, when during the fair “Balttour” our stand was visited by the director of Bach Music Fund, harpsichordist Aina Kalnciema and she offered an idea to organise a summer event together. During these 10 years, this idea of celebrating summer in a real palace garden has evolved and has created various characters – August, the palace gardener; or George Armitstead, the builder of Palace. Each year we look for new offers of various activities in park for children and all family, for creative activities and educational entertainment. For each festival we try to create at least 3 different exhibitions. We are exhibiting paintings, photographies, flowers, tapestries, Latvian belts, decorative objects of Art Nouveau, wood crafts, retro cars, clocks and other exhibitions.”

Nowadays, when times passes by quickly and more often we think, “Oh, the time flies!”, the visitors of Garden Festival this year will have a chance to enjoy the unhurried tempo of palace's surroundings –exhibitions of photography and objects of museum’s collection, taking a moment of peace in the “Garden of Inspiration”, “Shower of Nature Scents” or in “Corner of Nature Sounds”, participating in the creative workshops, buying something beautiful, delicious or useful in the fair, take the guided tour through the palace garden or in the Forest Museum watch the film “Pearls in Rose Crown” about the treasures of nature and culture in the district of Tukums.
