After a two-year break, the largest forest information event in the Baltics, the Latvian Forest Days, will take place in the thematic section “The world of Kurbads” of Latvia’s State Forest Nature Park in Tērvete on May 27 and 28, bringing together forest industry professionals, nature friends, families, and students.

During the event from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., visitors will be introduced to Latvian forestry, providing information on environmentally friendly and sustainable forest management principles. Knowing experts will be telling about the seed path from the plant to the finished wooden house. In turn, the defender of clean forests Cūkmens and other fairy tale characters will invite you to go on exciting activities.

On Friday, May 27, we will be waiting for the arrival of groups of children and youth. During the event, students will have the opportunity to get to know more than 80 forest cognition workshops, gaining an idea of training and career opportunities in the forest sector. Hurry up! Groups of students who have applied electronically by May 20 will receive additional study and information materials. JSC Latvia’s State Forests has provided a gift for groups of students - a free visit to Latvia’s State Forests Nature Park in Tērvete on the day of the event.

On May 27, the closing ceremony of the campaign “Clean Latvia” organized jointly by Latvia’s State Forests and the Ltd. “Zaļā josta” will take place. On this day, the winners of the competition "Latvia’s State Forest Olympics" will be determined and honored in the final competition. On the big festival stage, you will be able to watch an illusion show together with illusionist and trick master Toms Felkers and pianist of the major project “MESA” Matīss Repsis.

Saturday, on May 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., during the Latvian Forest Days, families are especially welcome to get to know and appreciate the renewable natural resource - wood - together with experienced foresters. Visitors to the event will be invited to learn about the benefits and wide range of uses for wood products. It will be possible to observe the drilling of the soil, chipping of branches, preparation of firewood, felling of trees, pruning, cutting and other demonstrations.

On Family Day, an extensive program of cultural events will be offered on the big holiday stage! During the day, the children's favourite "Ričijs Rū", the folk metal band "Skyforger" and the rock band "Līvi" will delight with their concert program.

Participation in the event is free of charge. Visitors to the event “Latvian Forest Days” by registering in the specially created information point tents will receive a free entrance to the Latvia’s State Forest Nature Park in Tērvete.
